Terms and Conditions to note before Booking Your Adventure
Reservations
To secure your spot on our exceptional tours, a non-refundable deposit of 40% of the total trip price is required. The remaining 60% must be settled 60 days prior to the departure date. All prices are provided in US dollars and are payable in US dollars.
Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel your reservation, you can receive a partial refund as follows:
More than 45 days before the tour’s first day: 65% of your deposit refunded.
30-45 days before the tour: 40% refund of the full tour cost.
Less than 25 days’ notice: No refund can be provided.
Please note, once the tour has commenced, no partial refunds can be granted. For your peace of mind, we strongly advise purchasing trip cancellation insurance to safeguard your investment.
Your Health Matters
Your participation in our East African tours assumes that you are in good overall health. If you have any medical conditions or dietary restrictions, it’s crucial to inform us well in advance. The tour leader reserves the right to disqualify any participant during the tour if their physical capabilities jeopardize their safety or that of the group. Refunds will not be issued under these circumstances.
Changes and Delays
Rafiki Safaris holds the right to modify program dates, itineraries, or accommodations if circumstances demand. In cases of itinerary changes or trip delays due to unforeseen events such as bad weather, transportation issues, or other uncontrollable factors, customers are responsible for the associated costs.
Itinerary Cancellation
Safety remains our top priority. Rafiki Safaris may cancel an itinerary before departure for reasons such as insufficient participants or logistical complications. In such cases, all tour payments will be promptly refunded. However, Rafiki Safaris is not liable for expenses incurred by tour members in preparation for the tour, including non-refundable airline tickets, special clothing, visa fees, or other related costs.
Limitations of Liability
Please be aware that Rafiki Safaris, its Owners, Agents, and Employees act as agents for transportation providers and other travel service suppliers. They are not responsible for injury, loss, or damage to person or property arising from circumstances beyond their control, such as acts of nature, civil disturbances, or government regulations. Any reasonable changes to the itinerary will be made for the comfort and well-being of passengers.

By submitting your deposit to Rafiki Safaris, you acknowledge that you have read and comprehended the above terms and conditions, and you agree to abide by them.

Customs Reminder:
Before returning to your home country, it’s recommended to check with local customs authorities regarding any specific regulations. Australia and New Zealand, for instance, have stringent quarantine laws.
