Primate Safari and Cultural Experience in Uganda
Embark on an exciting 9 -day Uganda safari in Uganda with the option to extend for extra three days.
The starting point is Kampala city, the Ugandan Capital. You will head to Kibale Forest National Park, the chimpanzee capital of East Africa. You will have the chance to see these playful primates in their natural habitats.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is your next destination. You will enjoy a rewarding game drive and boat rides that enable you to you enjoy the sights of elephants, buffaloes and birds.
You wrap up your adventure with a visit to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Come face to face with the endangered mountain gorilla.
Day 1: Welcome to Uganda –The Pearl of Africa.
Meet and greet our guide. Overnight: Kampala.
Day 2: Travel to Kibale Forest National Park.
Kibale Forest is the Primate capital of East Africa. Enjoy the green scenery in the countryside especially the well-kept tea plantations en-route to the park.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Day
On this day you have the chance to visit the Primate capital of East Africa. Chimpanzees are famous primates seen in this place. You wake early for a morning trekking to search for these playful primates. Later on in the afternoon go for birding and a community walk. Overnight at your accommodation.
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in the afternoon on time for lunch. Overnight at your accommodation.
Day 5: Game drive & Boat Ride
Go for an early morning game drive in the Park in search for the early risers and if lucky you will see the Lions and Leopard. After lunch, go for an afternoon boat ride on the Kazinga channel to view the Hippos, crocodiles and Buffalos. Check into your accommodation.
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi National Park
After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Explore the village and the native communities. Keep your eyes open for the Tree climbing lions at Ishasha along the way. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.
Day 7: Gorilla tracking – a lifetime experience
Have an early morning breakfast and then go for a briefing by UWA officials at the Park headquarters. Proceed to the Impenetrable forest on this Uganda safari for gorilla tracking. You should be equipped with right footwear for the jungle since tracking involves walking up steep densely forested hills before finally coming across the endangered gorillas. Later on go to the community living around the park to learn about their history and cultures. Overnight at your accommodation.
Day 8: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, we take a scenic drive to Kabale via Lake Bunyonyi (a place of little birds) with beautiful terraced hillsides. It is the second deepest Lake in Africa. Go for canoeing rides and also visit the legendary Punishment Island that hosted impregnated girls outside wedlock. Overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort
Day 9 End of tour-Travel back to Entebbe

Day 10-11. Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
Lake Mburo is home to a variety of animals such as Elands, Zebras, warthogs, Impalas, Buffaloes and recently giraffes and over 300 bird species. The park is the smallest of Uganda’s Savannah national parks. You can enjoy a boat ride too on Lake Mburo and guided nature walk.
Stop over Igongo Culture Centre Museum that displays the culture norms of the Banyakole, Bakiga, Batoro and Banyoro. Enjoy a traditional Lunch at the Centre before proceeding to the Park.
Day 12. End of Primate Safari and Cultural experience tour.
Travel back to Kampala/Entebbe to catch your flight home with a stopover at 0° Latitude at the Equator.

It is essential that persons with any medical problems and related dietary restrictions make them known to us well before departure. The tour leader has the right to disqualify any participant at any time during the tour if he feels the participant is physically incapable and/or if a participant’s continued participation will jeopardize either that individual or the group.
