Founder and CEO: Yakub Birungi, Yakub is a trained accountant but passionate about travelling. He has additional experience working in agriculture, logistics industries and a short stint at an audit firm in the last 15 years. At Rafiki Safaris he is involved in the planning, marketing and operations of the company. Meet the Team
Chief Experience officer: Alex Kanzira, has over eight years’ experience as a travel guide in Uganda and the East African Region. He is an avid sportsman who enjoys soccer. In addition, he has traveled extensively and has first-hand knowledge of many of the destinations our clients wish to reach.
Rabson Baluku is an experienced travel guide with over 5 years experience in guiding tourists across Uganda and Rwanda. Enjoys birding and community support activities when he gets the free time.
Tour Consultant: Stella Musana, She has over 4 years in the tourism industry. She is involved with the day to day operations that involves booking and reservations. In her free time she enjoys cooking, listening to music keeping up with current affairs.
Tour guide: Annet T, Nature travel guide. Passionate about driving tourists and learning new things about the industry. In her free time she enjoys reading travel magazines and looking for new training opportunities.
Pophia Kyomugisha was attracted to tourism after a first job at a tourist lodge near Lake Mburo National Park. The wildlife and cultures nearby mesmerized her thus motivating her to stay in the industry.
