Enjoy a combined Uganda wildlife and culture safari. You will visit Mabamba marshland and Lake Mburo. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is your next destination to track the gorilla. See the elusive tree-climbing lions at Ishasha, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Chimpanzees at Kibale National Park.

You finally wrap up your memorable trip with a visit to the communities that make honey wax candles and royal palace of the youngest king in the world.

Day 1. Welcome to Uganda

Arrive in Uganda at Entebbe. Meet and greet our representative. Check in your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. Karibu Guest house or Cassia Lodge

Day 2. Mabamba-Lake Mburo National Park

Today after breakfast, you will visit Mabamba birding site to have a glimpse at the shoebill bird. It is an Important birding Area for shoe bills.

After Mabamba continue to Lake Mburo National Park via the Equator.

Overnight: Rwakobo Rock/Mihingo/Mantana. B,L,D

Day 3. Lake Mburo

After breakfast go for a game drive and you may see the zebras, graceful impalas, Oribi, Elands or a Lion. You also have another optional activities like nature walks and birding.

In the Afternoon, go for a boat ride to explore Lake Mburo with its wildlife which includes the Hippos, crocodiles.

Return to hotel for relaxation. Evening game drive is another optional activity available.

Day 4. Lake Mburo NP –Bwindi

Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park  a UNESCO World Heritage site home to 50% of the world’s gorillas. Do another game drive as you leave  Lake Mburo. Arrive at Bwindi, check in at lodge.

Day 5-6. Gorilla tracking Bwindi , Batwa Community visit –Bwindi

Today after breakfast with packed lunch, go to the gorilla tracking briefing point. The ranger guides will brief you on the day’s activities in the forest before you come face to face with the giant primates.

Mountain Gorilla trekking

It takes 4 to 7 hours to track them in the forest hideouts and one hour viewing them. Later in afternoon go for a community walk to the Batwa village and learn about the original inhabitants of the Bwindi forest.

Day 7-8. Tree Climbing lions –Queen Elizabeth

Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park through rural Uganda. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Rwenzoris. Queen Elizabeth National park is a habitat of several mammals.

At Ishasha sector you will be able to see the tree climbing lions. Later on continue further to Queen Elizabeth Heartland to enjoy other game drives and boat ride.

Game Drive

Early morning game drive in search of the nocturnal animals like the lions. Return for lunch and go for a boat ride on Kazinga channel an exciting ride that brings you closer to the hippos, crocodiles and birds like the African skimmer. Return to lodge. Night game drive is an optional activity available.

Overnight: Engazi lodge/Marafiki Safari lodge

Day 9-10. Chimps Trekking

After breakfast travel to Kibale forest National Park . It has the highest concentration of chimpanzees in East Africa. In the afternoon visit the Bigodi community to learn more about the women group projects and also Bigodi swamp for birding.

In the morning , Go for chimp tracking to trace the chimps in the forest. It is quite an experience to visit these playful creatures, swinging in tree branches in their habitat. As your track them you will come across other primates like the Red Colobus and L’Hoest’ Monkeys and the endemic Uganda Mangabey.

Optional activity: Chimpanzee habituation, stay with chimps all day.

Overnight : Kibale Forest Camp or equivalent.

Day 11. Royal Palace & Community Project visit

Today after breakfast you will take tour around Fort Portal town, visit the King’s palace and also visit a Honey Co-operative group, participate in making candles out of bee wax.

Overnight: The Dutchess or equivalent.

Day  12. End of Wildlife and Culture Safari.

Travel back to Kampala, catch your flight back home with memories to share with friends and family.
