An 8-day action packed Wildebeest Migration Safari

Wildebeest migration safari is an exciting do or die journey from the Serengeti plains to Masaai Mara in search for pastures. Watch the predators chase their prey across the plains and rivers.

This trip takes you through Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti game parks that offer you an exhilarating wild experience of a lifetime.

Day 1: Arrival Tanzania

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – you will be collected by your driver guide and transfer to
your accommodation.

Day 2: Tree climbing Lions at Lake Manyara

After breakfast depart towards Lake Manyara National Park for game drives of this very diverse park. If you are lucky you may see the famous tree climbing lions. Picnic lunch in the bush followed by game drives until mid-afternoon then slowly make your way out of the park and head to Isoitok Camp Manyara.

Day 3: Relaxing day in the wilderness

Full day of activities depending on the clients wishes, otherwise a relaxing day in camp.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater game drive

Morning departure to the Ngorongoro Crater – descend into the crater for full day game drives of the crater floor. There are 25,000 large mammals residing in the park, elephants are mainly bulls, females stay out of the park due to the largest predator population in Africa. Black Rhino also make their home on the grassy plains, their numbers make up for almost half which can be found in East Africa about 20 in total. Leave the crater late afternoon and head up to the crater rim – continue to Rhino Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Travel to Serengeti

After breakfast you head via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards the Serengeti plains – game drives en route to Seronera. Head over to the Rock Kopjes where you have good chances of seeing some of the cat families. Cheetah and lion use this giant rock out crops as observation posts. Midafternoon head up towards your Serengeti Camp located in central Serengeti.

Day 6: Great Wildebeest migration

After breakfast you slowly start the drive towards the northern part of the park in order to try and catch a glimpse of the annual wildebeest migration – explore the river and head up to Serengeti North Wilderness Camp for relaxation and overnight.

Optional Serengeti balloon flight and champagne breakfast: $599 per person

Day 7: Serengeti Game drives

Dawn game drives of the area and return to the camp for breakfast followed by full day game drives or relaxation at the camp. At sunset, head out for game drives. Plan your day together with your driver guide and explore the river shores.

Day 8: End of Safari

Early morning game drives en route to the Kogatende Airstrip where you connect with your domestic flight to Kilimanjaro Airport where you connect with your international flight back home.
